About

Heulfre – from the Welsh meaning ‘Sunnyside’ – self-catering Holiday Flats are situated on Marine Terrace at the sea front, one hundred metres away from Criccieth Castle. The holiday flats are south facing with panoramic views across Cardigan Bay to Harlech, where you can see dolphins, porpoises, seals, and occasionally whales. The scenic and easily accessible mountains of Snowdonia are to the North East.

There are a great variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops in the local area. A bowling green, children’s play area, football pitch, mini-golf courses and tennis courts are also within walking distance of the property.

The area is popular for cycling, sailing, surfing, bird watching, rock pooling, walking and horse riding. There are many excellent golf courses nearby such as Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Nefyn and Harlech(Royal St. David’s) and sea, lake and river fishing spots throughout the area. The train station is a 5 minute walk from the flats and local buses are great for visiting neighbouring towns/villages and exploring the many other beaches along the peninsula.

The museum, boyhood home and grave of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George, can be found in Llanystumdwy a 2 mile walk away.
The property is ideally located for touring the beautiful Lleyn peninsula, Snowdonia and visiting Criccieth, Harlech, Caernarfon and Conway castles.
The scenic railway to Ffestiniog (as seen on World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys) is within 5 miles of the flats and the pretty, Italianate village of Portmeirion (set of ‘The Prisoner’) is only 8 miles away.
